We originally saw this TV at Bestbuy with a price of $399.99 (March or April 2009). We weren't sure if it would fit in the space we had so we got measurements and went home. We were also hoping they would have the TV on sale. Lo, and behold, it went up in price $130.00!!! We watched for months for someone to have it on sale again. The picture is wonderful and, so far, we haven't run into any problems with the functions.Get more detail about Samsung LN26B460 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV.

We tried 3 or 4 other small white kitchen tv's over the past 12 months and they were all unacceptable. While the Toshiba is not without it's flaws, it is heads above the others that we tried at home. There are several annoying features however. It takes forever to change channels and has a moderately slow start up. The picture quality is good however, even when viewed from the side and the sound is a real bonus. It's also nice to have the DVD player when our 3 year old niece visits which is fairly often. The price is good and we would purchase this product again and recommend it (even though my wife taped over a bright red light that serves no purpose whatsoever on the front of the tv when it is NOT in use).Get more detail about Toshiba 15LV506 15.6-Inch Widescreen LCD TV with Built in DVD, White.

This TV is awesome. Everything about it is great and it's a great deal for the money. Panasonics are the best. I based my purchase on other reviews on this website and this was an excellent choice. Decent tv for the price, the settings to adjust color and picture aren't difficult to use but difficult to get the picture I desire. The size is okay for an average size bedroom (12 X 12) but if I had it to do over I probably would choose a 26 inch or larger. Get more detail about LG 22LH20 22-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Gloss Black.

I purchased a 32" Sony KDL-32L4000 model through an Amazon retail partner, ABT of Chicago. It arrived quickly and worked beautifully for 13 months. Then, the picture went haywire, with shimmering , curtain like things covering the screen. I have seen this condition described in other reviews of this product.
Sony live chat worked with me and concluded there was a major failure somewhere in the system. They recommended a service center 140 miles from my home. I took the set to two electronics shops in the city near me and both of them said it was not worth fixing. Mother boards at $200.00 + each would need to be replaced and even then no guarantee of reliable performance. I donated it to a recycling center. Of course it was one month out of warranty.

At the suggestion of the repair shops, I went to Wal Mart and bought a Vizio model listed as a "best buy" by Consumer Reports for $440.00. So far it is beautiful.
I have been a Sony loyalist for years, but no more. A $700.00 TV gone in a year.
This problem may have been fixed in newer models such as the KDL-32L5000. Just a word to the wise about my experience.Get more detail about Sony Bravia L-Series KDL-32L5000 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black.

Overall, a great TV at a great price. I'm not going to bore you with a bunch of positives you've read a hundred times, so I'll just leave you with one caveat. Panasonic's plasmas have a little known reputation of degrading contrast ratio over time. This is caused by the "black levels" or "minimum luminescence levels" inexplicably increasing with hours of use. That is to say the "color black" is nice and deep when the TV is new, but it becomes increasingly gray once you attain a few hundred hours of use. As of now, no one knows why this happens, or if it's effecting every single unit, but it seems to be affecting a fair number of users both with these '09 models and several from prior years. You can read about the problem here: [...] It has unfortunately affected my unit, and it's pretty noticeable. The Contrast Ratio was cut in half at about 400 hours of use and the TV now looks like an average quality LCD in a dark room. I'm not a techie; in fact, we had the people who did all the sound/security system wiring and initial TV/sound system installation in our new condo come back and install this TV. Shortly after I ordered the TV, I was given a delivery date and 2-hour time window, and the TV arrived right on time in a carton that looked like it'd never been touched. Installation (includind moving the 'old' TV to replace an even older one) took 1 1/2 hours and the finished product is awesome. If you want close-up viewing, the clarity from 18" away is mind-boggling. I'm not much for reading manuals so I'm certain there are key features I'm missing, but for someone who just wants a great picture and ease of operation whenever they want to watch TV, this Samsung is hard to beat. We have another big (~60") Samsung with DLP technology and I contend that it's not possible to get a better picture than that one has, but this 40" LCD may be just a little bit better.
I'm getting to the point -- based on a couple years' experience -- that if I can't buy something on Amazon, I don't want it. It started with the Kindle and spread to a ridiculously limitless array of products.Get more detail about Samsung LN40B750 40-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LCD HDTV with Charcoal Grey Touch of Color.

I've had this TV since the middle of June 2009(reaching the 6 month period). Before this TV, I'd never had an HDTV or a TV anywhere near this size either. I am pretty tech savvy but HDTVs were not my specialty. With that being stated, I will give you my experience with this particular HDTV.

Since the beginning of 2009, I'd been looking at TVs off and on with the help of "CNET", just google it, and I'd heard that Sony had an impressive line of entry HDTVs. But I put off the thought of buying one until the middle of June. I was fumbling around on BestBuy's website (sorry Amazon, at the time, I found a better price. BTW, its just a product review.) and in the "weekly specials" I found this TV on sale for $1499.99, down from its original price of $1999.99. It was the HDTV that I had favored the most from CNET's reviews, so I made some calls around and none of the stores close had it. I managed to find a store about an hour away that had 2 left, 1 in stock and 1 on display. Drove an hour to check it out and loved it. I added the 3 or 4 year "bring it back no matter what" warranty and after taxes came out to just under $2250, which I paid on the spot in cash, I had not-so-great credit.

Brought it home and set it up and it was a beauty. It took about 30-45 minutes for the TV to recognize (it did something to find all the available cable channels) the channels and our first DVD experience was through our Xbox 360 and it was the Dane Cook's HBO comedy special. The show wasn't that greatest thing I'd ever seen BUT the freaking picture was. BTW, the HD cable, Xbox 360, and our Wii look superb on it as well. (Now if I can just get my hands on some Blu-Ray material.)

***PROBLEMS***
I guess every rose has its thorns (haha, cheesy), well this one has (2) of them, and they aren't really thorns.

1st - MOTION FLOW: To my knowledge(I could be wrong), the MotionFlow feature is the HDTV's way of enabling the 120Hz refresh rate, which is AWESOME, BUT you can't just quickly toggle between the 3 options they have for the MotionFlow,(Off, Standard, Full) I mean, you can preview them on the MotionFlow screen, but no quick adjustment feature/button. You have to go into the picture settings every time and slowly make your way to the advanced settings at the bottom of the screen.

2nd - When you have the MotionFlow on "Full" there are still parts during whatever you're watching that don't continuously show in that "smooth frame experience". I'm thinking that the 240Hz HDTVs are probably more dedicated to the continuous MotionFlow. It's nothing to cry about.

Other than that, the TV is great. The sound is great, it ranges from 0 to 100 and at 60 its good enough for me. Don't get me wrong, I'd go with a home theater system, but for now its nice. The remote is easy to understand and navigate. I would recommend it to anyone else who was in the same shoes that I was in. To say the least...(haha since I wrote a bibles worth of information) I am satisfied.

Feel free to ask any questions.Get more detail about Sony BRAVIA V-Series KDL-52V5100 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black.

I shipped this 19" TV to my cousin, who is a mad gaming freak. He has a playstation and he is always hooked up with his television.

The best thing about this product is the sound quality. It is amazing to use it in a small room, and the picture quality is pretty good. You get free shipping for this product, which is great. The price is just perfect, in fact I would call it a steal.

19" "may" [personal opinion] feel small for your living room and this is more apt for a smaller room.

A good alternative is LG 22LH20 [22"], which you can get for [...] - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001V5J7QQ?ie=UTF8&tag=tvrecommendations-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001V5J7QQ

My first HD TV, and I love it! Wow! Out of the box the color were amazingly rich. Thankfully I shopped around and got a free Sony 3.1 sound system with the TV because the sound from the TV was poor. However, what my wife and I thought everyone should know about this TV aside from the GORGEOUS picture is that it generates noticeable heat. We've had to lower the temperature on the theromstat when we've had people over to watch a game in order to keep the room at a pleasant temp. (But on the upside, I won't be worried about needing a fire in the fireplace this winter!)

Oh and if you have sensitive ears like I do, there is a buzz, but I only hear it when the sound is off or I've got my head behind the tv.Get more detail about Samsung PN50B860 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV.

While I've only had this TV for a few hours, I'm greatly impressed. The picture is wonderful and the sound is great in the small room the TV is in. I hooked up the satellite equipment, hooked up my stereo, plugged it in, and WHOA! I just sit there for hours staring at it. I can just imagine how it will look when I turn it on! JK! I couldn't have asked for more. It is so beautiful. The picture is as clear as I could ask for. Sometimes it's almost 3D. Honestly, I was dozing off and there was a show on about space exploration and for a second when I woke up I thought I was in the cockpit of the spaceship soaring through space. Great tv. great price for what you get. Picture is fantastic - colors crisp and bright, definition is sharp for all colors/shades. I have direcTV HD. Cant see how much better this picture will get but it definitely will bridge the game for several years. I don't use other built in features like gaming to speak abt them. Sound is solid. normal viewing is at about 25% of limit. Tones are balanced and clear. for larger sound i go thru a stereo receiver. one sound quirk - the auto volume adjustment takes a couple of seconds to kick in; but that's nit-picking. We got one but have since returned it for one without a dvd player (same hdtv, sans player). THE REASON is that we didn't want to have to use 2 remote controls, one for Direct TV and one to power on the tv and control the volume. After long conversations with both Direct TV and Sylvania there was no way to get this COMBO TV to work thru the Direct TV remote. Other than that the TV quality is very good and the sound is acceptable - certainly not a device built for high quality CD listening.Get more detail about Sylvania LD195SSX 19-Inch Flat Panel LCD HDTV/DVD Combo, Black.

My 32 inch Samsung LCD was great for five months then died a spectacular death. While watching it one day, a huge spark arced out of the top of the TV, and it was absolutely dead. That was the start of my trouble as warranty service was horrendous. I made nearly two dozen phone calls to Samsung, their warranty service contractor and the various technicians. Scheduled service visits would result in no one showing up. It took nearly a month and a half to get replacement parts installed. I'll never buy a Samsung product again.Get more detail about Samsung LN32B550 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color.

Well, after my youngest daughter bought her 6th HDTV and USES all 6 of them, I figured it was time Dad bought his first. I own a computer store so I researched very completely the different brands out, there which all claim to be the best.Forget the hype, this LG 42" seemed to make the best sense to me for the features it offered for the price. It arrived a day early which pleased me and set-up was even easier than imagined. The sound is as the old hippies said is FAR OUT DUDE!! The picture is PERFECT! NO doubt in my mind that research paid off big time. At 36 pounds, a kid could install this Flat Panel. The only draw back is that 12 hrs later it was $60 less. But had I known how much I would love it, I'd have bought it even sooner. My 4+YR old RCA is now in the bedroom. It too,has a great picture for a 27" Big Box TV with very good speakers. Sorry 'bout your luck old faithful, but the LG is my new love! Buy it and love it, it don't get any better than this. D. Once properly setup, this TV has the best picture quality I have seen on an LCD.

Pros:
- Picture quality with HD sources is fantastic. SD is adequate, but don't expect miracles.
- Black level is the best I have seen on an LCD so far. Pretty close to plasma quality.
- Colors are great once properly calibrated.
- 120Hz + MotionFlow makes a noticeable difference for video-based material (especially sports).

Cons:
- The instruction manual is a waste of paper. It doesn't bother to explain any of the advanced options (CineMotion, MotionFlow, etc.)
- The colors are not calibrated out of the box: too saturated, too much green.
- 3 out of 4 HDMI inputs are on the side. Cables connected to those ports stick out.
- SD upscaling is good but not great.

The scan picked up all of the digital stations in the Chicago area and they come in crystal clear. Occasionally, I may have to move the TV a little or extend the antenna to pick up a station. The TV is so light and can be carried around. I only have to plug it in about once a week to charge it. The only thing I can barely complain about is that the on/off switch is small and kind of awkwardly located. The design on the whole is very slick looking. The sound is good too. I find myself having to turn it down to about volume number "10" since I use it in the bedroom and don't want to disturb the neighbors.Get more detail about Eviant T7 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV, Black.

I've read all the reviews. I went to my local big box electronics store and looked at this tv on display and walked around and looked at all the others. Here's my personal verdict: look before you buy. Go, look in a store, talk to some of their reps, and read a lot of reviews. I did all that, and this tv is frankly amazing. It's bright, high contrast and amazing to watch hi-def, standard-def, whatever content on. Even when I stick a highly compressed home movie clip in it on a usb stick, it makes it look good. I turn off the auto-motion plus for movies, but leave it on for tv - personal choice, great technology but it felt odd getting a soap opera look to something like Terminator 2. Video games look amazing, and I have no complaints there. I'll want to wait a few months and see if my experience is consistent, s I'll try and update my review then.

Delivery/Amazon/etc - All handled well, Pilot delivered. I took charge of this process, the moment the package shipped, I called Pilot (the carrier) and they told me when it would reach my local station. When that happened, I called the local station and they prioritized me and told me who it would be doing the final drop off. I called them, and ended up having my tv set up a good two days before it had been 'expected' to be delivered. The way I see it? A purchase this large, you shouldn't treat like buying a dvd from Amazon - take charge and you hsould be fine. Unit is very compact, sleek, and overall very well designed to fit in a tight space (such as a sailboat cabin). Sound quality is great. Picture is quite sensitive to viewing angle, particularly in low ambient light situations, but workable when used with ajustable mount. Manual was somewhat lacking in instructions detailing some aspects of the initial setup, typical of many asian manufactured electronics, but overcame this obstacle with some trial and error guessing. I gave this review 5 stars for everything about the product, but not at all for the delivery arrangement. This is not that I had any problem with the actual delivery, but the expectation of the delivery. I was advised by the seller (at the time of purchase on Amazon) that the delivery would be something like 7 - 10 days and it came within that time frame, which was fine by me, except that they didnt give any tracking number nor any other information about how to find out which day my tv was really coming. Of course the problem was that I couldnt arrange for someone to be there since most of us work during the day hours. In any case, the delivery people were good about it, and re-scheduled the delivery for the next day (since they called me in the afternoon at work to let me know they were at my house!). In the meantime, I had emailed the seller and tried to call them a few times asking for delivery tracking information, to no avail.

In the end, no harm, delivery was made within the time frame stated, and the tv set is great.

If tracking info was simply given, then there would have been no stress or headache about arranging for someone to be there.Get more detail about Sharp LC52E77U 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black.

This television is fantastic. I did a lot of research before deciding on this one. At first I was going to buy an LCD, mainly because of the power consumption issue with most large plasmas. But, Samsung fixed that issue with this TV and its Energy Star rating. Its power consumption is in line with the LCDs and now all the benefits of Plasma make LCDs far inferior. Look at the list of issues you have to consider with an LCD that don't affect a Plasma TV:

Dynamic contrast ratio: LCD maybe 50,000 to 1(only on the most expensive ones) Plasma 1,000,000 to 1

Motion Control (de-jutter): LCD OK at 240Hz Plasma Not an issue, Plasmas don't have this problem

Off angle viewing: Many LCDs have trouble Plasmas have no issue with this.

Color accuracy: Read the reviews at C-net. All the LCDs are compared to how close they can get to a Plasma.

Design: Try to find a LCD that is this slim (1.2 inches)

If you are looking for a LARGE screen with the best performace in all areas, this TV won't dissapoint.Get more detail about Samsung PN58B860 58-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV.

I will admit up front that I am a complete HDTV newbie. I hung on to a 20 year old, 22 inch CRT color "monitor television" for far too long, in part because I do not watch much television programming (a bit of baseball, PBS, occaisional Law & Order reruns, that sort of thing) and in part because the whole HDTV techno nerd thing was too intimidating. After much online research and a few surreptitious visits to Big Box electronics stores, I finally settled on the 40XBR9 and bought it from an Amazon seller -- and could not be more pleased with my selection. The picture quality is simply riveting. The menus are reasonably user friendly and I have not found it all that difficult to calibrate for optimum results in a softly lighted room. With minor tweaking, the factory defaults work well for most cable television programming. I used the CNET suggested calibration for movies on the 52XBR9, and it works very well on this 40 inch unit.

This is a beautiful television. The bezel is as slim as they come and is an unadorned, moderately glossy black. While it is not a small television, it is not too overbearing for a medium sized bedroom or office. Considering its slender bezel, and the fact that there are no visible speakers, the sound is more than adequate for watching most TV programming. I purchased a ZVOX 525 sound base and an OPPO blu ray player to go with it. I have yet to watch a blu ray disc, but upscaled DVDs like Ratatouille and Wall-E, with sound from the ZVOX, are incredibly crisp, vivid and detailed, with wonderfully natural color, deep, pure blacks and brilliant whites and grey tones.

The one down side is that the XBR9 is not very forgiving of poor quality source material. My local cable provider still offers a limited selection of true HD content. SD television does not fare well on this set, although with some tweaks you can get acceptable picture quality -- ratchet down the sharpness so the poor resolution is not obvious, use a 4:3 aspect ratio rather than 'stretch' the image to fill the screen, so the perspective is not distorted, turn down the brightness and restrict the color range to avoid the exaggerated and artificial hues that seem to be part and parcel of SD TV, and you get a reasonable picture on par with a decent CRT. But once you've seen good quality 16:9 HDTV content, you will be somewhat disappointed with SD sources.

This competes head to head with the high end LCD and "LED" TVs from Samsung. I think it beats them for at least two reasons. First, the Samsung models have a very glossy, "wet look" screen, which is really a distraction. Under some conditions, it gives the picture more "pop," but except in a darkened room, the glare problem is insurmountable. Second, the comparable Samsung televisions have wider and more obtrusive bezels with a brilliant piano black finish, which is made even more garish by Samsung's somewhat ludicrous red "Touch of Color" gimmickry. The Samsung design is like over the top prom wear. The 40XBR9 is the electronics version of the perfect, simple and refined little black dress.

Prices seem to fluctuate wildly -- the prices quoted on the date of this review are about 15% higher than they were when I made my purchase ten days ago. You may want to keep an eye on the market and catch the next wave of "sales." But you won't buy this TV because it is an inexpensive "bargain" -- you may buy it because dollar for dollar, it will give you the most pleasure during the years it will be in service.

I have been waiting for quite some time to buy a new tv. Originally I planned on getting the 40" Z series last year. But when the new models came out this year, the 40" W series offered everything I was looking for a little bit cheaper price. It has a good looking profile and was a snap to set-up. I used the Cheetah tilting mount that I also purchased from amazon. Don't let anyone fool you. The Cheetah mount is just as good or better than the expensive mounts. I already had a ps3 so the XMB menu system was very familiar. This is a great tv for the money.

The only con I can think of is that the remote doesn't have a 1 button sleep timer. You have to go through the menus.

BTW: Amazon did a great job. I order TV on a Thursday and the following Wednesday the tv was hanging on my wall. Nice Service.Get more detail about Sony BRAVIA W-Series KDL-40W5100 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV.

I have owned it two months. Great picture. However after a few weeks I noticed a bright green dot that would appear. Not large but very bright and it flickers, sort of like saying, look at me, look at me! Extremely distracting because the rest of the picture is perfect. I thought, no problem, I have a one year warranty so maybe I should wait to see if it goes away. It did not, just got worse. So I called Samsung and worked my way through the menu system. After I explained the problem, the sympathetic person assured me that this would be repaired, but then transferred me to another person to whom I had to explain everything again. So these people told me that they would contact my local Samsung repair center and that I would get a call from the service center to set up a time for the repair. But the next day I received two calls, one from Samsung technical service, and one for AT&T technical services or something like that. After being on the phone with AT&T for 40 minutes they explained that a few bad pixels are considered normal and Samsung would not repair the TV. But they are VERY sorry. I waited a few weeks while the dot got brighter and then called Samsung again. Oh, they just didn't understand why this was not repaired and I made them repeat to me that I would NOT get a call from AT&T or some other third party. Oh no, they were going to contact the my local repair facility personally and get the TV fixed immediately. I could expect a call the next day. Well, do I need to tell you who really called? Yes AT&T and Samsung technical department. AT&T asked me to tell them what the problem was, and I told him he was looking at my information on his computer screen and I didn't feel like taking another 40 minutes to explain it again. So after a few minutes he transferred me to the ECR department. (EXECUTIVE Customer bla, bla, bla Dept.)The Executive part is suppose to be impressing you. Now he is sympathetic and assures me that it will be repaired, yes it will, absolutely! I made him say it ten different ways, yes it will be fixed, BUT then he said, Samsung does have a pixel policy. Really! I never agreed to any special policy regarding bad pixels. I only know that I have a defective TV and a one year warranty. Well for now that is where it stands. All I am saying is be very cautious when buying a flat screen and look for a zero defect warranty and a long return policy so you can do an exchange or refund. Good Luck Get more detail about Samsung PN50B450 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV.

My parents bought an LG last year, and we always admired its picture. To be sure, we recently went to a large retail store to compare other brands and models, and we selected this model. We also purchased a 55 inch LED (also LG), and we're very happy with both, but I think this one actually has the better picture. Definitely use an HDMI cable with it--makes a huge difference.Get more detail about LG 47LH55 47-Inch 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV, Gloss Black.

It's the only TV in my small apartment - a larger screen would overwhelm both room size and wall hangings. Don't let the low pixel count scare you off; AT THESE DIMENSIONS picture quality is high. Ordered TV on Friday Oct.2 and received it on Monday Oct.5, how is this for Service.! Package was in good condition with no damage. Price was $ 200.00 cheaper than any other stores I have checked and I checked about 50 of them, and shipping was free. Picture resolution, colors and features, are excellent and easily outperform far higher priced competitors LCDTV's. I'f also purchased a Home Theater HT-Z420 from Samsung so that I can use one remote for the whole setup due to the Anynet+ feature of Samsung's electronic products. However it took some doing to make everything work together.
Here is what I have: Motorola DCH6200 Digital HD Cable Box, Samsung LN-46B650 LCDTV, Samsumg HT-Z420 Hometheater
Here is what I did:
Remove TV cable from Cable Box and install 2way splitter. Get 2 short TV Cables and install one cable from splitter to Cable Box and the second TV Cable from Splitter to your LCDTV. Install HDMI cable from Cable Box to HDMI 1 IN on your LCDTV. Now you can use your LCDTV remote for all standard TV channels and your Cable Box remote for HBO,Cinemax etc.
Connect all Speakers to your HT-Z420 Home Theater, Install HDMI Cable and Digital Optical Cable between your Hometheater. Since your Home Theater remote has more functions for you DVD player, it is preferable to use this remote instead of the LCDTV remote. If you use HDMI cable only between your Hometheater and your LCDTV, most likely you will not be able to use the Hometheater speakers when watching regular TV channels. At least mine did not work. Overall,I am extremely happy with the Samsung Products and will post more reviews down the road.

I thought I bought this TV (which is fantastic and I love it) with 12 months no payments, no interest.
It turns out that the so-called Store Card is not the Amazon credit card--and there was no such deal
using the Credit card. I ended up with $2,899.99 on my Amazon Credit Card--all due the following month.
I called Chase--the manager was arrogant as I tried to explain the problem. She giggled and said that
she'd never heard of this offer. I called Amazon--many pages of "clickable" choices.
I finally found the "Help" link. This guy was nice but explained the difference between the Amazon Credit
Card and the Amazon Store Card and suggested I ship the TV back and redo the order. Nice in theory but
I'd already unpacked and installed the "thing" so it doesn't pan out in reality. I kept the
TV (it really is nice) and did not pack it up and ship it back, too much hassle.

Next I got an email from Amazon explaining--in so many words--how I f'd up. Nice. I wrote them back and
explained that I'd go ahead, pay off the TV then cancel mu Amazon "Confusion" Card and revert back to my Citi
card that gives me air miles. I felt better... until I received and answer back explaining that my response to THAT
email didn't go "anywhere" because it's unanswerable please go to (link such and such). I did, but once again I found
a busy page where it was difficult to come across the link to contact Amazon. Maybe if I still worked--I'm retired--I'd
have enough time (screwing off at work) to hack around and find these links and sort out all these cards, and offers,
etc. But as I explained in the email--that essentially went nowhere--that once I receive the Chase statement that I paid
the TV off--I will take great pride and joy in canceling that Amazon/Chase Credit Card and lick my wounds--they can
kiss my A-- if I ever use it again.

Signed: "Enjoying my TV," and the fact that I
am rich enough to pay off the debt and not have
to deal with jerks like the manager I dealt
with at Chase. She really reminded me of a
town hall meeting where the idiot from Congress
takes a question then calls someone on her Cell.

I love this television! I did about a week of research before committing to this purchase. Amazon had the cheapest price and the best shipping deal. Concerning features this TV does not disappoint. With its crisp picture, fantastic colors and deep blacks everything we watch is miles beyond what we were used to. I'd say the DLNA feature is the best part of this TV. I have it connected to our home network and any show I have downloaded on my computer can be brought up through the tv's built in menu. Over all... GREAT buy!Get more detail about Samsung LN40B650 40-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color.

This TV is very simple to use. Take it out of the box, turn it on, auto search channels, change picture mode to "Movie" and you have a decent TV. It sounds a little better than most HDTVs, but you buy an HDTV for the picture. If you want HDTV sound, you have to add a multi-speaker home theater system. The picture is good with "Movie" setting. Out of the box it resorts to "Sports" setting that is just awful. I even tried it with an HD football game and it blurred the grass. Picture suffers from some motion blur, but IMO all LCD TVs have motion blur. The remote is very intuitive - you can change aspect ratio on the fly. QAM tuner works well, so it plays nice with cable.

The DVD Player is what sets this combo TV apart from the pack. It upconverts DVDs and Divx beautifully. That's right it plays Divx!!! It also plays CDs, VCDs, Picture CDs, and multitrack WMA CDs.

This TV would be great for anyone building a home theater system in a confined space or confined budget. Thinking dorm room, first apartment situation. The built in DVD/CD player could be hooked to any home theater receiver with speakers via Digital Component Out.Get more detail about Toshiba 26LV610U 26-Inch 720p LCD TV with Built in DVD Player, Black.

I've done my research and I've asked around to those who had the products I was looking at. In the end I chose the SONY Bravia XBR. My brother gave it great reviews and I liked what I saw on his. He has the 40 inch and I've purchased the 46inch. Hooking it up was fairly easy for a woman who lives alone. The picture quality for HD is great. I love it. However, the sound quality is not as I had hoped. Some shows come in loud and clear while others, you have to put the volume up all the way and sit closer just to hear it well. I've gotten the home theater hooked up to it, as well, and that helps when watching DVD's. All in all, it's not a bad tv and I would recommend it to others. If SONY can improve on the sound quality this will be one supurb buy!Get more detail about Sony BRAVIA XBR Series KDL-46XBR9 46-Inch 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV, Black.

The only thing I do not like about this TV is that if you do not have the TV angled in a certain position the people's heads around their hair are all back and the picture is dark. I purchased the TFTV1923 to use for training and display purposes. My most important requirement was that it be easy to carry around and have decent sound and picture. Both are fine, though the sound is tinny. It sets up easily and is perfect for use in small areas and especially in small meetings. I was unable to get any picture reception with a good digital antenna at my home office location. I know the reception in this area is decent, so was disappointed I got no hits on the channel scan. A good buy for the price and quality.Get more detail about Coby TFTV1923 19-Inch Widescreen LCD HDTV/Monitor with HDMI Input, Black.
