Our church ordered nine of the units. The units were received on-time and all worked fine, but the boxes the TVs were shipped in were thin and poor quality. Multiple boxes were torn, with two torn apart. Tiger Direct should have placed these weak boxes together in a stronger box or two. The good news was that the TV work very well, and the rating would have been the highest if the boxes held together. We are impressed with the JVC TVs.Get more detail about JVC LT-32D200 - 32" LCD TV with built-in DVD player - widescreen - 720p - HDTV - black.

Ordered a week ago, got the TV 4 days later. Took no time to setup - an awesome deal.
One problem: the description states the following "Plays digital media directly from USB flash drives and SD/MMC/MS cards". That's a lie. There are no such slots/inputs, so do not be misled.Get more detail about Coby TFDVD3297 32" LCD HDTV Monitor with Slot-Loading DVD Player.

bought this Tv a few weeks ago. so far so good! i don't want to jinx things, but i've got no complaints. this tv replaced a sony 50" bought about three years ago. besides the size increase, the picture appears sharper. on another note, i also believe it's a much more attractive tv too. my sony had a silver "frame" around the screen, while this tv has a black one. which is a lot less noticeable than the sony.
the only thing i would suggest would be that calling a delivery, a "white glove" delivery, led me to believe that the "installer" might actually know more than me as far as installation goes.......NOPE! the guy actually told me this was the first mitsubishi he had ever installed! didn't exactly instill confidence in me. while there was no problem, i'd hate to see what a un-"white glove" install is.Get more detail about Mitsubishi WD-65C9 65-Inch 1080p Flat panel DLP Home Theater.

I wasn't expecting to get a top of the line 1080p TV, and I pretty much got what I expected. The Aquos is very attractive TV- it has a very pleasing high-gloss black finish, a nice stand and a cool, grey speaker grill. The sound on the Aquos is terrible, so I suggest getting your own receiver and speakers (which I had, so I didn't really mind). The picture quality is great, but the other day I noticed some very, very faint banding on the screen. It's hardly noticeable, but if you're like me (you over-inspect everything), then it might start getting annoying. My girlfriend says that she cannot see any banding, so maybe I'm just seeing things. Overall I'm very happy with the TV, considering the price. I picked it up for $800, and after a few months of research, this was the best price/ value I could find for a 46" TV made by a reputable company with decent customer service. If you're looking to buy a quality, cheap 46" TV, then the Aquos might be for you!Get more detail about Sharp Aquos LC46D65U 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.

10 watts per channel audio brings excellent sound quality and picture is bright and clear considering its not 1080P resolution. Attractive slim bezel makes this combination 32`` LCD TV/DVD unit an excellent pick for bedroom. Just grabbed a great price at BJ`S WHOLESALE CLUB ...$419.99 with instant in-store coupon of an additional $30.00 off. Out the door for $389.99 plus tax! Offer good until Sept. 02, 2009..better hurry on this one. One negative....Sylvania has a lousy 90 day Labor and 1 year Parts warranty. With any built in tv/dvd combo, you need a bit more coverage then that. Bought additional 3 year extended 100% parts and labor warranty for $39.99 from SquareTrade. I bought this Sharp 26" DVD combo on line and did not get a chance to test it before I bought it. If I did I would not have bought this TV. The picture is great and the remote is easy to understand. The problem is when you change the channels it take forever to go from one channel to the next. The screen goes black for at least 5 seconds between each channel change. It's enough to drive you crazy. The second thing that I have found wrong with the DVD part of the TV is the sound quality when a DVD is playing. The sound is so low that it's almost impossible to hear with the volume turned all the way up. I do not have the TV in a place where I can add extra speakers. I would rather buy a TV with speaker that work. I would never never buy a Sharp TV again...Get more detail about Sharp LC26DV27UT 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player, Black.

I have owned this TV for several months, and definitely enjoy the picture size and quality. As many people have pointed out, the default sound settings are not very good, but you can improve them by modifying the settings or hooking the TV up to an A/V receiver. The only problem I have with the TV is when hooked up via HDMI, when I change inputs (DVR to DVD player) or even change channels where the resolution changes (720p to 1080i), there is delay where the screen goes black and a "Searching for Signals" message appears. Occasionally during this process is an audible pop. I don't fully know the reason for this, but after searching on the internet, it has something to do with the "HDMI handshake". Regardless, the solution is to just hit mute when changing inputs. This can be annoying and detracts from my enjoyment of the TV; that's why it is getting four stars.Get more detail about Samsung LN52A550 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.

I have had this TV for a couple of weeks now. I waited a month from the day I ordered it to the day it finally arrived.

This TV is not heavy and it was easy putting it up on the wall mounted rack. I was pleasantly surprised.

Let me get this straight to anyone who is concerned, the gold bezel is like a faint gloss on the bottom of the TV. Hard to notice. I am not certain why they put that light color on the set, but you have to strain to notice it. When set up on in my theater room, this is not noticeable in any way. Don't worry about it if you are dithering on purchasing this set because of the gold bezel.

The picture is stunning and excellent. It is the best picture I have ever seen on a set. It's got some interesting features, for example the TV has a built in ambient light sensor which ramps the brightness of the picture up and down based on the light surrounding the TV. Turn it off. It dulls the picture quality in darkness. I have found no way to make it useful.

Folks, this TV has two major flaws but there is a work around for the first so bear with me. The second issue, only time will tell.

First, the TV seems like it is designed to be the hub of all of your HDMI components. The folks at Sharp assume that everyone will rush to buy a Sharp AV receiver, Sharp Blu-Ray player, etc. and have them work together with their Aquos Link. They are dreaming.

In my setup, I use a Pioneer AV receiver, a Panasonic Blu-Ray player and a DirecTV DVR, Satellite Receiver. All is HDMI and state of the art.

I wanted to pipe all of my HDMI components through the Pioneer AV Receiver and send an HDMI video signal to the Sharp TV. Works fine except the Sharp TV pops up a message "An Incompatible Audio Signal Has Been Received, etc., etc.".

Folks, I turned off the audio of the TV (selectable from the Sharp Menu), turned off the Aquos Link and I still got the message. Turns out, the TV REQUIRES PCM audio NOT HDMI only!!!! Even if you turn off the speakers on the TV, it still pops this silly message up.

Interestingly, there are only two ways to get this message off the bloody screen. First, you can turn the volume off the Sharp TV down to zero. Voila! The message goes away. The other way is to find a way to disable a pure HDMI audio signal from your AV receiver.

Okay, I found a work around by turning the volume to zero, but you would think that Sharp would be more interested in working with different HDMI components that are not Aquos Link. Nope, they don't. Very disappointing.

Anyway, I still like the set.

There is a second flaw that I do not know if it will fix itself or not. The bloody set "pops" loudly every few minutes or so. It's like the plastic is settling when it heats up. It's a strange noise but seems to be reducing over time. I don't like this problem as I don't have a work around. Time will tell.

Anyway, I still like the set.

Hindsight being 20/20, I think I would get a Sony or Samsung 65 inch LCD knowing what I know now. They are more expensive by 25% or so, but these two issues should not be in a high end TV.

Anyway, I still like the set.

Thank you.Get more detail about Sharp AQUOS LC65E77UM 65-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Gold Bezel.

This is a great TV for close up viewing. Fits in our kitchen area just right. Dose'nt have the best backlite so some channel programs don't show up very good but the sharpness and color are great. If the backlite were better, I'd say you could'nt buy a better 19" TV. I also have a 26" Sharp so I can compare. The Sharp Aquos is with out a doubt of better quality, no way you could call it junkie. The extra remote is nice but we dont use it very much. Sound is good and there are more then enough inputs. The manual makes setup and operation of the TV easy. Ordering from Amazon was easy and shipping was quick. The price was right so I would give this TV 5 stars except for the backlite.Get more detail about Sharp Aquos LC19D45U 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV.

Although using HDMI is the easiest setup- my new HD cable box wanted to use a 4 pronged cable; not even the red, yellow and white, but the setup with the Sharp took less than 3 minutes. I have an older DVD player that doesn't have HDMI and setup with the red, yellow, white cables worked the first time. The only note that might be minimally negative is a 10-15 seconds time period before the TV finds and shows the picture.Get more detail about Sharp LC32E67U 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Black.

I can't really comment on it as a TV. I don't have cable, satellite or an antenna. I "watch TV" on the internet, and bought it mainly as a monitor.

I am using Windows Vista and the plain old blue 15 pin RGB PC video input. If your computer has video graphics capable of 1366 x 768 resolution, it works great. I read pages 13, 24 & 25 of the manual, and was up and going in minutes.

When I first started using it, there was one "crystal" that didn't work. It remained dark. However, it has since started working.

It's been about a month, now, using it approximately 3 hours a night. I am very satisfied so far.Get more detail about V VIZIO VO32OE - 32" LCD TV - widescreen - 720p - HDTV.

This TV is pretty basic if you want to get a cheap HDTV, LCD. But as someone has mentioned before its not an AQUOUS so its proably made of cheap parts. Mine would no turn on one day and I had the power and OPC lights blinking. Called Sharp and they said its covered by warranty, they will send out someone. The guy comes does some check for like 2 minutes and says will need a circuit board and will be back in 3 days. He returns and the TV still has issues and now he says it will need another part. The company wastes too much of my time and they want you to be home. Sharp told me to coordinate with the service company. This sucks because I have had no TV for 15 days now. Don't buy this TV get a SONY or SAMSUNG. My 4 year old Samsung TV still works after so much moving. Get more detail about Sharp LC46SB54U 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.

This is a nice, basic television with a decent picture. Its only problem is a remote that must have been designed by someone who's antisocial and hostile to humanity. So many buttons, laid out in a way that seems truly random. There are even separate buttons for play and for pause. It's impossible to use without looking at it. It is the opposite of something made with consumers in mind, like anything made by Apple.

We received this tv yesterday & Directv came today to upgrade us to the HD DVR. The picture, color & sound are awsome! Easy set up. It took me just a little while to go to the menu & set up the picture, color & sound the way I wanted them. I don't understand why some reviewers say the sound isn't good. You can adjust the bass, trebble, etc. This tv is way beyond our expectations. Directv supplied the HDMI cable. The Directv guy even wanted to know where we got the tv. Before the HD was installed the picture was nice but you should have HD to really get the best picture. The only drawback was that UPS delivered it & we had to take it out of the box ourselves, which isn't as easy as you'd think. It was packaged very well.Get more detail about Sharp Aquos LC46D85U 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV.

When this model first came out over a year ago I dreamed about owning it. At the time it was selling for nearly three thousand dollars, which was significantly more than I wanted to pay for "another TV". The feature set was amazing and the spec were literally second to none - That includes Pioneer. After a year of continuous shopping the price for this TV dropped to twelve-hundred dollars on Amazon. that was less than the average Vizio. Looking at what they did to the newer models I doubt the good times will ever be back again.

1. The 850U model includes a Studio reference mode which is infinitely configurable. Few Plasma TV's have this capability accept for the highest end models. To get this capability on the latest Panasonic models cost thousands more.

2. The 850U comes with an SDHC video card reader. This is huge. I plan on buying one of the latest HD camcorders which all output to the latest AVCHD format. Panasonic is the only manufacturer doing this, and the new models don't offer this feature until you pay thousands more.

3. The 850U may be an energy hog, but i think all things are relative here. For me it may amount to another 1-2 dollars per month, despite being half as efficient as the newer models. On the up side, the older models look richer and can be turned up as bright as necessary. This is very important in bright rooms that have alot of reflection. The over-heating discussion is bogus. My TV is in an enclosed cabinet (with venting slits in the back) and it barely gets warm. Absolutely no big deal at all. In fact it emits less heat than my Pioneer that's only 42".

4. The picture quality on this set is much better than my Samsung that is also 46" (LN-T4665F). The off angle viewing on the Panasonic is fantastic. There is no fading or distortion at all on the Panasonic. The screen is perfectly uniform. The samsung is way too faded from the same off-angle viewing positions. I will say that the blacks are about the same, but the overall color saturation on the Panasonic is much better.

5. All the little things like quickly getting to the proper input mode, back lighting for the remote, and saving settings are all much better on the Panasonic. Also, I LOVE THE FACT THAT PANASONIC HAS A FRONT PANEL SLOT FOR INPUTS AND ATTACHMENTS AND NOT THE SIDE OR BACK OF THE SET. my cabinet is 47 inches wide. I can't insert anything on the Pioneer or Samsung because of this problem. twisting the sets all the way around to reach the back (in darkness) is too problematic. panasonic reolved this problem (huge benefit). I now have wall mounted the Samsung and the problem still exist. By the time you swing the TV 2.5 feet away from the wall the power chord and HDMI chord diconnect, because they are not long enough.

6. The Viera Cast is cool, particularly if they beef up the content in the future. Watching UTube on full screen is different. better to have it than not have it.

7. The single pane of glass makes this one of the nicest looking TVs on the market - no joke. I actually don't think I noticed how thin the facing bezel is until I hung it on the wall. It looks great off - like a work of art.

8. Its now discontinued, but for the feature set and price, it has all the bells and whistles of the plasma's that cost much more money. panasonics vision now is to find a way to make the energy efficient models look as rich as the energy hogs, which is going to drive the price much highr. No need to pay for their R&D when the set is not going to look any better on the screen. The other thing Panasonic wants you to pay for is the side thickness (from 4 inches to 1 inch). Admittedly it looks cool (only from the side), but you will pay more money to get the same features in a smaller case. The picture is not better, but the thickness is thinner. Again the cost is much higher.

I love this set. I now own the Panasonic, Pioneer and Samsung. My life is complete.Get more detail about Panasonic Viera TH-46PZ850U 46-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV.

We moved into a new house and were on a mission to buy 3 televisions. After looking at all the televisions out there in our price range, and looking at all the displays next to each other, this one instantly popped out at us. I know we aren't supposed to judge a tv when it's next to a bunch of others, but I couldn't help looking at all the other ones and how my eyes just kept coming back to this model. The blacks seemed darker, deeper and the colors were more vivid and crisper. I ended up buying three 52" for the house. I'll start of by saying that the picture is beautiful. It has full side inputs and a lot of rear inputs. One thing to mention is if you are hanging it, the rear inputs are almost impossible to reach and since they point straight back and not downward, there may be a problem with some cabling. Toshiba, like any other manufacturer, put their light up logo right in front and under the screen so it's in the way when you are watching tv, however, they were smart enough to allow you to turn it off. The control on the tv isn't great - it feels cheap and doesn't light up, but does glow in the dark. Changing between channels is pretty quick, not like some tv's where you have to wait a couple seconds. Watching Planet Earth on BluRay is excellent, except when there is quick panning, such as when they pan to follow a hawk, you can notice some jitter because the refresh rate isn't as fast. I haven't seen a football game on it yet so I don't know how that looks. The sound is not very good, but then again I am not sure of many tv's that have great sound. I have to really turn up the volume in order to hear it clear. It does have different picture modes such as sports, theater, store, etc. I find store to be the brightest, most vivid and yet retain some really deep blacks, however, this mode is not energy compliant. The tv itself is very sexy. It features a matte screen and it's anti-glare is very good, expecially in our master bedroom where windows are next to and in front of where the tv hangs. The casing is a glossy black which does tend to gets fingerprints when touching it. Overall, I think this tv is well worth the price and you will be very happy with the picture quality. Take it from someone who owns 3 of them!Get more detail about Toshiba REGZA 52XV645U 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black.

I love this TV so far. The picture is incredible. I use the TV in my bedroom to watch movies and television shows at night so I appreciate the dark blacks that Sharp is so good at. Some people complain about disk load time for the blu-ray player, but I see no substantial issues with its load time.

The construction seems very solid. The base is made of a solid metal so it doesn't seem easily breakable like the other TV I have with the base made out of plastic. The TV swivels too...pretty cool feature.

The built-in blu-ray was big for my wife for aesthetic reasons. Since it just sits atop the dresser, it would have been difficult to put a DVD player anywhere else, so this TV does the job well for that. No complaints here. I was a little worried about how "blue" that streak was at the bottom of the TV. It isn't bad at all...hardly noticeable. All you can see is a small blue shimmer. The pictures on this website make it look like its painted blue...looks much sleeker in real life.

There are plenty of inputs for anything you want to hook up to this bad-boy. There are also a good amount of options for customization. I love one feature of your "favorite channels." It has 4 buttons, but also has 4 toggles for each of those buttons, so you can have a total of 16 favs. It's also easy to toggle between picture brightness and picture aspect with just a click of the button.

I definitely recommend.Get more detail about Sharp AQUOS LC32BD60U 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Built-In Blu-ray Player.

Good picture, but as with all LCD TV's volume is low. However, I just returned a TV due to poor sound quality and am keeping this one because it is louder than the other LCD TV and also has analog audio output for us to hook up to an older receiver. I am satisfied with this product. If you are watching TV in a noisy environment and don't have speakers I would not recommend a LCD TV. This is my first ever HDTV so I can't compare it to others, but I am consistently blown away by the image quality when watching BluRay movies and playing PS3, and can't imagine how it could be much better.

However, I live in a small apartment and bought a pair of headphones for my wife so she could watch her girly TV series in private, ... until I realized that there is nowhere to plug in external headphones. It has RCA-out for an amplifier, but no headphones? Come on, even a $50 black & white telly has that!!

While on the subject of sound: when watching BluRay, the difference between soft and loud volume is so great that I constantly find myself increasing and decreasing the volume. This TV could really have benefited from a Night Mode, and sadly the PS3 does not seem to have one either.Get more detail about Sony Bravia S-Series KDL-40S4100 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.

I bought this TV because it was on sale and there are some pluses and minuses. It is a 22 inch flatscreen TV for less than $300, so that is awesome however the picture is really not that great. I have tried changing the color settings many many times and still it doesn't quite look right. The HD channels that I get look pretty good but not the best I have seen.

This is definitely an entry-level flat-screen TV. If I could I would give it 3.5/5 stars.Get more detail about Haier HL22F1 22-Inch Ultra Compact LCD HDTV, Black.

I bought this HDTV to use in my home office so I can watch local news and cable news channels while I am working. It connected easily to my cable system (Comcast in Seattle). The automatic set up routine found all of the unscrambled channels that Comcast offers. Comcast users should note that Comcast has its channel line up set up so that the only HD channels one can receive without a Comcast set top box or a CableCard are your local HD Channels.

The picture is very good and the sound is quite acceptable.Get more detail about Sony Bravia L-Series KDL-22L4000 22-Inch 720p LCD HDTV.

First off, you need to know a little background about me. I am a gamer. I'm not just any gamer though: I play Wii games and PC games most of the time. Now the Wii has the ability to go to 480p, which isn't as good as the Xbox 360's 720p/1080i or the PS3's 1080p, but it's good nonetheless. For those knowledgeable about TVs, you know that many HDTVs on the market have 720p/1080i native resolutions, and more and more are becoming 1080p compatible. These TVs are known to have lag when displaying something smaller than its native resolution, since it has to upscale the image. Example: Try playing Wii's Guitar Hero games with a composite cable (Yellow, White, and Red), which outputs a standard 480i signal, on a 50 inch 1080p TV. You will notice that the actions in the game happen noticably later. Press A to have Mario jump in any Super Mario game and he jumps a few frames later than you expected.

Now I was looking for a TV with a 480p resolution because I am really sensitive to the aforementioned lag from upscaling an image. I play a little known game called Super Smash Bros. Melee (Super Smash Bros Melee), which requires almost frame-by-frame reflexes when played at a high level (You remember Ken Hoang from Survivor in Fall 2008? This is the game he was a world-reknowned champion at) (SSBM plays at 60 frames per second. That is 60 pictures that the TV is producing in 1 second), and any frames that are a little late throw off my game, and any gamer around me. A native resolution of 480p is a must for the TV I was looking for.

The other must was having the ability to plug in a PC VGA output. I own an HP HDX 16t (HP HDX16t Premium Series Customizable Notebook PC), which is one amazing laptop. It essentially is a desktop replecement being one of the few 16-inch notebooks on the market. Now, as a tech enthusiast, and one who loves to multitask, I need two monitors. I've been living a one monitor life for so long, but after purchasing this TV, I am one happy camper.

One major flaw I can find in this TV is that it is susceptible to what is known as ghosting. It's not really something that would make or break my descision about this TV, but it's definitely a problem that I know other people would be annoyed at.

Now, I have a bit of a comment about this product/product page... It says it has a 16:9 aspect ratio, but it's maximum resolution is 1440x900, and, if you do the math, it's definitely a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is not that big of a deal, but it is a minor lie. Now 1440x900 is a pretty good resolution and it can definitely display a 720p signal (usually 1280x720), but 1080i signals (usually a 1920x1080 resolution) will be downscaled to 1440x900 (or maybe even 1280x720, I'm not really sure how downscaling a 1080i image works). This is just something to watch out for. If you're looking for something that can do 1080i, this is not the TV for you. In fact, if you're planning on doing any living-room based TV watching, I would not recommend this TV at all. It's too small to notice the difference between SDTV and HDTV.

This is a perfect product, however, for those who want a TV on their desk/dresser/counter/whatever in the bedroom. This is also perfect for those who want to use the Wii's full graphical capabilities. My ex-roommate was talking to her boyfriend on the phone while I was playing Muramasa: The Demon Blade, and she was like "Oooh, pretty. I'm gonna stare at the TV for a bit..." Note: she is not a gamer at all, and that shows a lot about how 480p can make a difference in terms of just pure beauty that the Wii can display. Lastly, this is an awesome second monitor for my awesome notebook PC. Sure, it's smaller than some of the larger 1920x1200 monitors out there, but for someone who doesn't need an amazingly amazing resolution, this will make you happy. If you are someone who fits any or all of the criteria above about who this is perfect for, I'd say this is worth the purchase because this was definitely worth it for me.Get more detail about Audiovox FPE1708DV 17-Inch LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player.

I don't normally write reviews for any of the products I purchase but felt the need to say something about this TV which thus far has been one of my most satisfying $500+ purchases. For starters, there are not too many 1080p 32" TVs out there. Most are 720p and yet cost just as much as this Philips, if not more. I am simply amazed with the quality of the picture and even the sound from the rear facing speakers. My PS3 games look fantastic on this 120Hz screen. There are 4 HDMI inputs which is plenty for many. All settings are a breeze to adjust. Cant go wrong with this TV and thus far, Philips has not disappointed me as my DVD player and several other components are from them also. No need to pay the premium for Sony or Samsung. I originally purchased a Sceptre 23" but it kept locking up on screen and wouldn't turn off. I had to unplug it at the wall. Tech support was no help. So I returned it and bought this.

I never thought there would be so much difference in picture quality but because I had viewed them so close together, the difference was very noticeable.

The VIZIO has a very clear, colorful picture. In high def it is amazing.
We have two of them this size and they have both worked great for over 1 year. We also have a VIZIO 46" as our main tv. It is also terrific and has done well for over two years.

It comes with all the ports that I need for adding components and HDMI.

I don't think you can go wrong with VIZIO. They are quality at a great price. Get more detail about 22" Vizio VO22LFHDTV 1080p Widescreen LCD HDTV - 16:9 5000:1 (Dynamic) 5ms 2 HDMI ATSC/QAM/NTSC Tuners (Black).

I have owned this Television for One Year (One year and One day, actually). It has been great up until today. Almost like a timer (1day after the manufacturer warranty ran out), a line appeared on the screen. UNBELIEVABLE... one day after the warranty. However, I did buy the NEW warranty plan (4 year) and called them and they are setting up the repairman to come to my home. I can update this once it gets fixed for certain, but for now, I am SOOOOO HAPPY that I bought the repair warranty. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE buy a warranty; I did a search on the internet and other people also had these lines show up DAYS after the warranty expired. Unbelievable. Samsung should be held accountable. But, I must admit, its one of the best looking TVs I've seen. The picture outdoes all of the houses I've been into (except for the ones with the same TV). The red isnt bad, but then again there is red in my color scheme for the living room, so it does not affect me that much. The sound is kinda poor, but I have my surround sound hooked up so that doesnt bother me either. Hope this helps someone and convince you to BUY THE WARRANTY!!!!!!!Get more detail about Samsung LN40A650 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color.

Low Price Yamaha AX-497 100 Watt Natural Sound Stereo Integrated Amplifier (Black)

First, the Amazon title of this amp is wrong, it's 85 watts per channel, not "100W".

I'm a recovered audiophile. I've been clean for two years now. Hence this will not be an audiophile review. Before I bought this amp I was running a DIY tube pre + power amp into a pair of late 60's Altec Flamencos... but then the AX-497 really helped kill the hobby for me. Instead of listening to amps, now I listen to music. "Natural Sound" is not just marketing, it really has a transparent natural sound.
I run it 100% of the time on "CD/DVD Direct", which bypasses the tone and loudness controls, although the controls are quite musical sounding, and might come in handy in certain rooms.
My livingroom is 19 x 11, and coupled to a pair of Polk RTi8 (wonderful speakers!), there isn't even a hint that the Yamaha is breaking a sweat in loud dynamic passages. There is really nothing about the sound that I don't like, and I highly recommend it. Like all Yamaha stuff, build quality is excellent, and it's an attractive, understated unit, IMO.Get more detail about Yamaha AX-497 100 Watt Natural Sound Stereo Integrated Amplifier (Black).
